During festivals and birthday celebrations, candles are commonly used "auspicious items" and have a fairly stable market.
To make colored flame candles, various metal salts need to be added to the wax. For example, adding strontium nitrate will produce a red flame when ignited, adding copper sulfate will produce a blue flame, adding sodium carbonate will produce a yellow flame, adding potassium nitrate will produce a purple flame, etc.
1. Raw material formula: 75 g ~ 80 g of high-quality paraffin wax, 20 kg ~ 30 g of stearic acid, 5 g of beeswax, and 1% of various metal salts. Do not add too much stearic acid, otherwise the wax oil will melt too slowly and the candlelight will not be bright. In summer when the temperature is high, 30% can be added, and in winter, 20% can be added.
2. Key points of the process: The temperature should not be too high when melting wax, otherwise wax oil may flow out from the bottom of the mold when pouring it into the mold, and bubbles may be generated in the finished candle, resulting in a bad appearance and even causing the wax liquid to catch fire; the temperature should not be too low, otherwise the paraffin wax will not be completely melted and condensation will occur during pouring.
3. Precautions: Before pouring wax, straighten and tighten the candle wick in the wax mold, and quickly and accurately pour the completely melted paraffin mixture into the candle mold pre-coated with grease. The candle molds are arranged on the candle machine in sequence, and the speed should be fast. Fill the mold at one time without stopping. After pouring, sprinkle cold water around the candle mold to condense the wax liquid into a solid state as soon as possible.
Then cut off the candle wicks at the head and tail, take out the candle to dry and harden, and perform trimming and appearance treatment.
